I am considering buying a 1999 Benz E320, loaded and well maintained from a friend. The car has been taken care of very well, but will have no warranty. My friend would refer me to the mechanic she had for repairs if I ever had a problem. How much would parts cost and to maintain this car on average even if I had a mechanic work on the car at cost?
how much would it cost to maintain or replace parts on a mercedes benz e320 1999?

This year of E320 is very problem prone. The above "check engine light" problem may indeed be the fuel cap. More likely it’s something more serious: air mass sensor, oxygen sensor, or cat. This car will break your heart and you budget.
