I am a true believer of taking care of your cars will last you forever. I drive US build cars. Never failed me. Of course, they is maintenance that has to be performed and I do it ASAP. I listen to the car when some seems to be out of the ordinary and take care of it fast. I have an 03 Impala with over 80,000 on it. I took it to a shop for an oil change, the mechanics can not believe the car is that old with that mileage. I drove a 94 Grand Prix for over 160,000 trouble free miles for about 13 years. My dad bought an 85 Audi 5000S when they came brand new. I was on top of it, once I left the house and went on my own, my dad (a gas and go type person) called me saying the car was messed up. He drove the crap out of it and neglected all maintenance. The car was pretty much beat up.

When someone tells me that Ball Joints has to be replaced, I pretty much know that car has been abused. On my Grand Prix on 13 years of ownership, never replaced a ball joint nor suspension dampers (aka Shocks Absorbers). Is a matter of fact, never had to replace one except the worst car I ever had (Honda Prelude).

What I am trying to say is, some people buy these cars with no money left to even buy a tire. Is all image, the maintenance is neglected (can not afford or just lazy), takes them to cheap garages, do not replace the parts with reliable ones, tinker with the cars or just abuse the crap out of them. When it breaks is MB's fault. Well that is on any car !

The fastest BMW is the M6, with a 500 horsepower V-10. Unfortunately, all BMWs are speed-limited to 155 miles per hour, although the upcoming Z9 might not be.

The fastest Mercedes-Benz is the SLR McLaren, with a 629 horsepower V-12, capable of about 210 miles per hour.

In this case, the Mercedes-Benz wins with practically no effort, though, like BMW, nearly all of its other models are also speed-limited to 155 miles per hour.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

Well it means that there is a sensor reading that is out of range. Each sensor has a specific electrical value range that it constantly puts out, when it goes outside this range the check enigne light comes on. The reason that you might not notice any problems is because the computer is compensating using all the readings from the other sensors, and susbstsituting the erractic value from the sensor with one that it sees appropriate, thus causing the car to run next to normal. Fuel economy might suffer.

Have it checked at a shop, they will use a scan tool and retrieve what is causing the problem and be able to see what needs to be replaced. Take it ASAP, it might not seem like anything is wrong but its best to make sure. If the light is flashing instead of solid then it is super urgent.

I would have to agree with the other comment left. Worn motor mounts can cause vibrations noises and even engine misfires. If you notice a change it vibration or noises after you shift from park to drive, that's a good indicator for a bad mount. Check out and bookmark mbtek-online.com for more tips.

Avoid the dealers, they charge like a wounded bull, find a Benz trained technician and he will give you the best prices, avoid genuine parts, there are heaps of importers that sell you parts of the same quality, i have worked for Mercedes for several years their costs are to high for what you receive in my opinion.

well there mioght be a possibility but i think your better off asking an audio shop or maybe just changing the stereo and getting a cd changer compatible with that one it might be easier but i do know that they sell a harness so you can connect a cd changer to it so you might get lucky and find one
