Hate to burst your bubble but a $10/hour wage is not enough to cover the cost of the car loan as well as the maintenance and insurance of that Benz.

How many miles are on it? Is it drivable? Define ‘a little messed up’… a lot more info is needed to find out the selling value of the car, but http://www.kbb.com should be able to let you know. I wouldn’t expect to get much out of it though… $1,200 if you are super lucky (and that’s assuming you have under 100k miles on it)

So what year is you ML? I’ve had a 2000 for about 8 years and it is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned. My AC also went out this summer. Makes for a hot ride. What has your experience been?

Since you mentioned it’s pre-owned, you should mention the year of the vehicle as well as the model.

It can be a good first car if you can afford it, especially the insurance rate which is normally very high to begin with for first time vehicle owners but even higher considering it’s a luxury vehicle.

The technician should look at all the common wear and tear areas of the vehicle as well as rust and collision damage which may have occurred over the years.

If the technician is an experienced Benz technician, he/she will know to look at some areas which can be troublesome on early W202 models, such as dried/brittle engine wiring harness, leaking head gasket on the M104 engine, broken coil springs, etc.

First you have to know what is wrong and where the leak is. Common areas include the suspension pump itself, the valve block, any one of the 4 air shocks, or the connectors on top of the front shocks. But the leak could literally be anywhere.

Speak with your local dealer. If you cannot resolve the issue with them, you can call up the customer service department at the MB head office. The phone number for H.O. is located at the back of your owner’s manual.
